Like I've said many times, I'm fortunate to live in an environment filled with atheists and the believers in my environment are coolio (thanks guys). So needless to say, I don't play with the other atheist kids out there. For me, it would be like going to work after work (who wants that-I used to. Anyhoo...). The other day I received one of those emails from someone, I was skeptical yada yada yada...but it turned out to be cool.

Foundation Beyond Belief is raising teh monzies for cancer research bla bla bla. You can help and all that stuff. There are many details, but because I'm a blogger and not a journalist, you halfta look up the info yourself (I will at least provide links).

Now, if you are not a Nor-Cal hippie atheist like myself and you relish the chance to play with other atheists...here's your chance, yo. Not only that, it's gonna help Team Cancer promote Team Atheist in a positive light. Still to this day we are despised (WTF is that). Peeps just don't know what an atheist is. Unfortunately for us when people hear the word "atheist" they automatically think of something bad and negative. Here's our/your chance to prove them wrong.

So many times I've written here "Get out there atheist. Let's prove them wrong. Let's show them that we are good also, that we care, that we have all the good qualities that anyone else has. Let's do this." Well, here's your chance. What is it that my hero said, "Name something a believer can do that a nonbeliever cannot do (Hitch said that, right). Oh, here's the capper.

FBB is doing this, NOT to show the world that atheists are cool also (although that is a good side effect). They are doing this because they care. They are doing this because it is the correct thing to do. (Here's the part for lil' old me) They are doing this in part to show tribute to my fuckin' atheist mentor and hero, the guy that I cried rivers of tears for (thanks depression) when I heard of his passing, the guy that made me stay home at nite when I should have been fuckin' hot chicks, drinkin' so much and playing music all nite long, but instead I watched debates online. Really, debates on fuckin' line instead of that other shit.

To me the best part of this is that it is for Hitch. I'm fuckin' crying right now. If you can help out. Thank you.
