This is made of awesome. I like going to the Pew Research Home page because there is always a survey about religion and/or atheism...but, not this time kiddies. This time, to my delight, there is a survey about....me. Yes, me me me. There is way too much good statistics to mention here and this page has an easy to navigate synopsis of the whole deal-eo.

The survey called The Rise of the Asian Americans is so freekin' epic, with many great points, but the statistic that immediately stands out is that, Asian immigrants are, err, immigrating more than any other peoples. Wow. Really. With all the whoop-la over immigration this past couple of years and all the horrible laws that have been passed (that mostly affect peeps of the Latin brown skinned origin, or nonexistent heaven forbid, Islamic brown people), you would think that those lazy Mexicans, with their 10 jobs and all (really, how can one be lazy, but have 10 jobs) were winning the immigration race by lots and lots. Apparently all the media and political hype is teh wrong.

It's counter intuitive. At first blush it would seem that those promiscuous Mexicans are much more sexual than my sexless Asian counter parts. But the numbers don't lie so guess we do "it"...but don't tell anyone.

The numbers don't lie, baby. You can read them and weep, or you can read them and discover the truth. What the fuckity fuck fuck-"e" sound-ness is up with the war on brown people trying to come to American and better the lives of their current and future generations. After looking at the numbers, all the bigot-ed-ness from the conservative right is focused on the wrong group. Their battle cry is, "Them dam Mexicans are steelin' our jobs," "Them dam wet backs are using all out resources-n-shit, by wanting education and health care fer there young-ins'." When the real enemy is my team, Team Asian.

What if the question were asked, hey big fat white man politician guy, what about all the Asian peeps, my peeps, are they not doing more damage (infrastructure costs, health care, welfare, school, all the police that are needed to round them up and surveillance them), because, ya know, our/their numbers are larger?

I Googled "crickets and siamese cats" for this one.

Crickets.

This survey is tremendous and you know I have much to comment on: Tiger parenting, family structure, gender roles, parent children relationships (the hierarchy of it, and God is in there) education, acceptance into white mainstream and even counter culture, interracial marriage, closed and open societies-n-shit....(Hmong v Black, Viet v  Chinese, Arabic v White, some are omore open than others).

Looks like I have me something(s) to write about allllll week. You guys should read the actual survey and at least this article from the SF Chron.
