I wuz just gonna post this quote I found (I think) on LOL Theists from the man described as part Han Solo and part Carl Sagan (if that is not a complement, then I dunno what is. Heck, Michio thinks that's cool)...Neil deGrasse Tyson. But I'll add a small amount of commentary, also.

We are all connected to each other
biologically
To the earth, chemically
And to the rest of the universe
atomically.
That's kinda cool.
That's what makes me smile.

For, like, a month or so I've been trying to remember what Greta said when she came to Sac Town last year. This quote (above) nails it. She talked about it for minutes upon minutes and I remember thinking "That is so freekin' baddass." I think both come from the Carl Sagan quote that says that we all come from stardust, or stars died so we can be here today (1). OK, that is the quote part.

The other thingy I was pondering this morning (at 6am) was that I never bro'd out on Tyson. I've always acknowledged him, but honestly, I never really checked out too much of his stuff. Well, now that Hitch is gone. Perhaps now I will.
